Pumpkin Carving Contest -- Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008

  • HHNA board members will be skulking about the neighborhood sometime around
5:30 p.m. on Halloween Eve (Thursday, October 30th), looking to hand out early treats
to families with the most creative carvings.
  • So get your goofy, sappy, horrifying or happy Jack-o-Lanterns out on your stoop by that time and you’ll qualify for one of three annual prizes!

Holiday Open Houses -- Friday, Dec. 5, 2008

  • Time: 7:00 to 9:00 pm
  • Two neighborly families are graciously opening their homes to HHNA members for light hors d’oeuvres, beverages and cheery conversation.
  • Janet & Roger DeYoung, 162 West 14th St.
  • Kate and Dan Bolt, 191 West 12th St.
  • Please join your fellow Holland Historic Neighborhood Association members in this festive opening to the holiday season—and begin early enough to visit both homes!
  • We’re pleased to again feature delectables catered by HHNA member, Chris Ferris.
