| This old Colonial
Revival home has unusual pedimented return cornices. There is a large central dormer with
those same cornices, an outside chimney flanked by two small windows, and an interior
chimney. The large entryway is covered by a rounded hood supported by Dormic columns and
pilasters. The front door has beveled sidelights. An enclosed sunporch with pilasters is
on the west side of the home, and an enclosed porch with pedimented return cornices is on
the east side. The walls are painted stucco and the water table is brick. |
| This Colonial Revival
home was built in 1924 by Derk B. K. VanRaalte, a banker and descendent of Hollands
founder, A.C. VanRaalte. The VanRaaltes lived in the home until about 1970. |
